PERSISTENCY

Dear Comrades, IRDA has issued guidelines on Persistency of life insurance policies for Individual agents (50% upto 2014 & then onwards 75%). The circular is being sent to you. A welcome move is that IRDA has dropped the move for MBG and advised Insurers to frame their own MBG. IRDA has barred direct relatives of employees of Insurance cos from taking agencies. Kindly go through the circular and give your feedbacks.

LIC investors won’t lose a single paisa, says Pranab

Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee today assured investors in LICthat they would not lose any money because of the housing finance racketinvolving the CEO of the state-run insurer’s subsidiary, LIC Housing FinanceLtd, and other top bank officials.
Asserting that those officials involved in the racket would notbe allowed to escape, he said, “There is no cause for any anxiety for investorsas not even a single paisa would be lost by them due to an aberration of one ortwo officers in the organisation.”
“LIC is very strong and stable. It is too big an institution andits smooth functioning will not be affected by aberrations of one or twoofficers of the organisation”, Mukherjee said while inaugurating the 109thdivisional office of LIC here. The minister said no guilty person would beallowed to escape from the process of law and stern action would be takenagainst them.
